Can anyone tell me all that’s wrong here?
Bonus points if you notice the trailer wheels hit the curb... and I think he may have tagged a sign as well.
Edit: GOTCHA, BITCH!

Looks like a lot of laziness?
It seems to me that his lane choice is okay- - I would expect him in the left lane if he was taking the next exit, but straight through seems like an either/or.

Driver should be in the left lane, thats why the curbs are so large around the circle.

I’d like to know more about the proper way to take long trailers through multi-lane roundabouts. I know that they’re allowed to swing wide for right turns at intersections if they need to in order to avoid hitting the curb. Does that apply here, too? I’ve heard that the inside of the circle is left curbless specifically so that the apron can be used for trailers, but that would mean driving in the “passing lane”...

What’s wrong here is WHAT IN THE HELL JUSTIFIES PUTTING A ROUNDABOUT HERE IF TRAFFIC IS MODERATE AND COMMERCIAL TRUCKS HAVE TO COME THROUGH WHARGARBL

Its called a ‘truck apron’ for a reason, and they are encouraged to use it per the DOT’s rules on roundabouts.

Does that mean that they are required to use the left lane in multi-lane roundabouts, so that they can keep the right lane open (instead of taking up two lanes)?

Yes.
Edit: No.
Kinda.
They are supposed to use BOTH lanes, but probably not drive over curbs and hit signs.

Sure, but that’s kinda counter-intuitive when they should be in the right in nearly every other situation. I can see why they wouldn’t, especially if it were unexpected.

In my 50k or so miles per year I drive, I’ve lost respect for the vast majority of truck drivers. They are assholes, and for the most part, suck at driving.

You should see all the mouth-breathers exiting that Wal-Mart over there that have NO IDEA how to use ‘em. They’re worse than the smi and Infiniti drivers

I know how to use roundabouts, but I still get annoyed by the one at my local Wally Mort a little. Even when empty.

Well when it’s their job to drive they should know.

I dunno that I totally blame the truck driver on that one. The car that is even with him prevents him from easily moving into the left lane of the roundabout and the guy with the dashcam coming up on the back of his trailer made it look like slowing down to pull in behind the car wasn’t going to be an option.

guy with the dashcam
That’s a-me.
Correct, the Infiniti driver was in the wrong for passing the truck...

The Infiniti driver probably should have reconsidered whether getting aside the truck entering the roundabout was a good idea. Ultimately if you’re driving a semi you kinda have to wait until its totally clear and use both lanes. That said, once the Infiniti was to his left he had to be in the right lane, and while turning left his mirrors were basically just showing him the side of his trailer, so he probably didn’t want to come left incase somebody else was passing him on the left in the roundabout.
In my bus, I try to go around the roundabouts around here in the outside lane so I’ve got an out.
